Green Fingered Villagers Come Together To Improve Their Neighbourhood On The Curlender
October 3, 2017
A group of villagers have come together to form a small volunteer group, to help improve the visual appearance of the green spaces on the Curlender, or the correct name of "Hale Park Estate".
For the past 2 to 3 months with permission and help from HBC, volunteers have been working hard on numerous tasks, including edging the grass over hanging the curbing, planting new shrubs, improving the appearance of some of the garages and sowing grass seed.
In the coming months - working with HBC, the area around Wellington Gate will be re-landscaped and re-seeded.
Neighbours have been generous, with one neighbour donating £100 towards plants/shrubs, and several garage areas being resurfaced
HaleVillageOnline.co.uk caught up with some of the group on Tuesday 3rd October, as they were working around Wellington Gate and John Middleton Close, planting Tulips, Daffs, weeding and preparing woodwork around the garage gutters for painting...
Their hard work is certainly showing and vastly improving their neighbourhood.
