The Hale 5 Mile Easter Road Race Another Runaway Success
Hundreds of runners pounded the roads around Hale Village during the annual Hale 5 Mile Easter Road Race. Easter Sunday - 27th March - saw 490 runners at the Start line as the Lord Mayor of Hale - Paul Turton, got them on their starters orders This years race was organised by Interval Races, from Hale Village. Easter Cross Walk & Procession
On a sunny and beautiful Good Friday morning - 25th March - saw villagers attending the start of the Easter Services at St Mary's Church. The Good Friday Service at St Mary's Hale, commenced at 11:00am, which was followed by the Easter Walk with the carrying of the Cross to Hale War Memorial. Weather Damaged Crops Re-Sown
Due to the ground and weather conditions during the Autumn and Winter months, both Farms in the village have had to re-sow some of their cereal crops. Manor Farm and Home Farm have both had to prepare and re-sow several fields, due to the crops being damaged. Home Farm has sown fields around the Ice House Wood area, and Manor Farm has re-sown the field along Hale Gate Road - next to the White Houses of the Curlender Estate. #ManorFarmHomeFarm
