
Merseyflow Tolling System Information Launched
The information campaign to let local residents, commuters and businesses know how the tolling system for the Mersey Gateway Project will work is being launched today (Tuesday 28 February). It includes the unveiling of the merseyflow brand and a new website – www.merseyflow.co.uk and a series of animations – which will guide people through the process. Storm Doris
Storm Doris arrived in Hale Village - Thursday 23rd February with winds reported at Liverpool Airport of gusting up to 61 mph. The strong winds buffeted aircraft over the village, as they where on final approach to land at the airport. Driving was difficult on the main roads and those villagers who wandered out, braved the elements. We had one incident of a tree being blown down in the park. #stormdoris

New Bollards For Hale Park
Work has now been completed, installing new heavy duty steel bollards in Hale Park. During February, Halton Borough Council have replaced the old wooden bollards around the car park area - which were broken and damaged, with the new steel bollards - and included a strip of tarmac where the bollards are - around the perimeter of the parking area. #halepark

Work To Restart Building The New Hale Village Hall
Work on building the new village hall, is due to restart at the beginning of March this year - 2017. A Project Manager has been appointed to over see the restart of the project, which is expected to be finished in late 2017. Several site visits have took place during February - with the Project Surveyor to ascertain the current work that has been undertaken and materials available, and to take the project forward to completion. Hale Parish Council in 2016 - were awarded £500.

Tesco Funding Award See's Pathway Resurfaced At Pickerings Pasture
After successfully being awarded £10.000 from the Tesco Bags Of Help Initiative - towards the refurbishment of the pathway between Pickerings Pasture and the Water Treatment Works, The Friends Of Pickerings Pasture have announced this week that the work has now been completed, between Wednesday 1st and Friday 3rd of February. Hale Village Coffee Shop News
While the situation with the new village hall being rebuilt - is being rectified, the Coffee Shop is still operating from the Youth Centre - at the far end of the High Street. It is open every Friday, Sunday and Tuesday mornings between 10:30am and 12 noon. The Coffee shop is staffed entirely by volunteers, who give up their spare time to bake home made cakes, scones and serve customers who come from near and far.
