Widnes and Cheshire Police were at Ivy Farm Court Shops with their "StreetSafe" initiative on Saturday 3rd June , they were located at the front of Ivy Farm Court Shops at the Chemist end of the car park. Pirate themed Scarecrows are now starting to appear around the village, the week before the Village Carnival, which takes place on Saturday 10th June in Hale Park. Straw is available in several locations around the village, at Hale Hall Gardens in the parkland and at a Horse Riding facility at the top of Carr Lane.
