To mark the end of the current Lord Mayor of Hale's term in office - 2014 to 2017, The Lord Mayor of Hale Village - Freemen Paul Turton invited villagers to a 60's themed Social evening, which was held at the Wellington Public House on Saturday 23rd September. The Lord Mayor and his Wife welcomed guests as they arrived to the event, held up stairs in the Wellington Function Room. St Mary's Church Heritage Open Day Keeps Visitors In The Picture On Village History
St Mary's Church took part in the national Heritage Open Day's event, Saturday 9th September. The Church was open from 10am to 3pm with various displays on view, from old photographs, maps and a brief visit to the Church Tower was organised - to enjoy the views across the village. The Lord Mayor of Hale Village - Paul Turton attended the event , with a display of Freemen Regalia and chatted to visitors about local history and the Freemen of Hale.
